Office development underway on billion pound regeneration site

Work has started on phase two of an office development which will form part of one of the region's major regeneration schemes.
Terrace Hill has started building Hudson Quay 2 at its Manhattan Gate development at Middlehaven in Middlesbrough.
The office block, the second of five to be built by property development and investment group Terrace Hill, has been fully pre-let to Middlesbrough Primary Care Trust, and comes on the back of Hertel's recent relocation to Hudson Quay 1.
Work starting and securing the pre-let is a real vote of confidence in the mixed-use Middlehaven project, which is being led by Tees Valley Unlimitedalongside Middlesbrough Council, the Homes and Communities Agency and One North East.
Richard Buckley, Tees Valley Unlimited's Director of Development, said: "Given the current climate and the knock-on effect this has had on many regeneration projects across the country, I am delighted that Middlehaven continues to go from strength to strength."
Hudson Quay 2 is 38,500 sq ft of premier office accommodation, part of the market leading Manhattan Gate project, which once complete will provide 142,500 sq ft of offices.
