Hudson Quay 2 Pre-let

Hudson Quay 2 - the second office building at Middlehaven has been pre-let, with building work now due to start July 2009.
Middlesbrough Primary Care Trust will take the entire 38,500 sq ft on a 15 year lease.
Hudson Quay 2 is the second of five buildings to be developed by Terrace Hill at their Manhattan Gate project which, when complete, will provide 142,500 sq ft of offices. The new letting follows Hertel's relocation of its UK Headquarters to Hudson Quay 1 in December 2008. Manhattan Gate forms part of Tees Valley Unlimited's 80 acre Middlehaven project which is a mixed use development rejuvenating the formers docks adjacent to Middlesbrough's town centre.
Middlehaven is already home to the £70 million, award winning Middlesbrough College; the UK's largest zero carbon residential and leisure development, RiversideOne; and the site of Temenos, the first Tees Valley Giant and the biggest public art project in the world.
Richard Buckley, TVR's Director of Development said; "This announcement is fantastic news and a direct result of strong partnership working and a dynamic regeneration scheme. To be able to stand here today and confirm further construction work and committed investment in the middle of a global recession is a huge credit to Middlehaven and to Tees Valley."
Pat Ritchie, regional director of the Homes and Communities Agency added; "This is a real success story for Middlesbrough, one of the flagship developments in Tees Valley. We're delighted that such an important organisation has agreed to take the lease of the entire building. This announcement will continue to help establish Middlehaven as a prime office location in Middlesbrough."
